Isn't today's world so ominously different? The part where you mentioned that hobbies used to just be hobbies is beyond eerie. I think it's impressive that hobbies can so easily be transformed into money-making endeavors. However, you're right about the way it can be a blessing and a curse. Turning a hobby into your job means it's no longer a hobby anymore, and that can certainly be a hard adjustment.
